About Bivouac Gaud and Gounier
These bivouacs are privileged places from which to observe nature. Please respect their silence and peace.
You can light a barbecue and observe the extraordinary fauna and flora.
Free lectures on the natural heritage, geology and history of the Ardèche river gorges are proposed regularly.
The Comfort Formula is designed to help you benefit from the pleasures of the river at your own pace and profit from the events and comfort of a night according to your choice.
Day 1: You will descend the river for 8km to Châmes, located downstream from the splendid 54m high natural Pont d'Arc bridge. There, you will be picked up by one of our minibuses which will take you to the accommodation where you will spend the night.
Day 2: The minibus will take you back to Châmes, from where you will set out again in your canoe - 24km to Sauze (St Martin d'Ardèche). Our minibuses take you back to your vehicle.
Info +: You can change the order of your trip sections: 8 + 24 km or 24 + 8 km, and do the 2 descents several days apart.

The 13 + 24 km formula get you all the fun of canoeing down river at your own pace + the events and comfort of a night according to your choice.
Day 1: You glide down the river from Sampzon for 13 km to warm up. This trip includes the famous canoe slides and gives you a good idea of what the Ardèche River Gorges are about, passing under the Pont d'Arc.. There, shuttle bus to our base and you will be oriented toward the campsite which will welcome you for the night.
Day 2: Shuttle to Châmes and 24 km descent to cross the canyon of the Ardèche River Gorges and its nature reserve until Sauze. The return to your vehicle is ensured by our minibus.

This 2-day trip is designed to help you benefit from the pleasures of the river at your own pace and profit from the events and comfort of a 3-star hotel with bar, restaurant and terrace.
Day 1: You will descend the river for 8km to Châmes, located downstream from the splendid 54m high natural Pont d'Arc bridge. You arrive directly on the beach of the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 2: You will set out again in your canoe on the second leg of the trip - 24km to Sauze (St Martin d'Ardèche). Our minibuses take you back to your vehicle.

Leave your vehicle at Sauze jetty (Saint Martin d’Ardèche), arrival point of your descent.
We runs shuttle buses to Vallon Pont d’Arc to the starting point of your descent. Then you can pick it up directly when you arrive in Sauze at the end of your canoe trip.
Solely for groups over 15 people.
